Tickets

For guests 🎟️

How do tickets work?

Tap the event link, enter your name, email and phone number, and either claim a free ticket or pay right there with a card or Apple/Google Pay. Your ticket β€” a QR code plus a short ticket code β€” shows up immediately on-screen, plus a confirmation email you can pull up at the door.

Can I get tickets for my group in one go?

Yes β€” pick how many with the + and βˆ’ buttons, up to the limit the organizer set for the event, and check out once. Every ticket gets its own QR code and ticket code. From your ticket page you can open each ticket on its own and send that link to a friend; they only see their own ticket.

When is my spot secured on a paid event?

The moment your payment goes through. Your card is checked first and only charged once your tickets are confirmed β€” if the last spots sell out while you're paying, you're told right away and your card is not charged.

What's an arrival time?

Some events stagger arrivals. If so, you pick an arrival window after seeing the price. It's shown on your ticket and in your emails, and it can't be changed after you get your ticket.

What's the ticket code for?

It's a backup for the QR code (it looks like K7M4-9QX2). If the QR won't scan, read the code out or show it and the door can type it in. Each ticket has its own code.

I lost my ticket email β€” now what?

For a paid ticket, ask the DJ to resend it from their orders list. Either way, search your inbox for the original β€œYour ticket to…” email β€” the QR code doesn't change, so an old copy still works.

Can I get a refund on a ticket?

Depends on the event's refund policy, shown on the event page before you buy β€” either all sales final, or self-serve refunds open until a set cutoff before the event (button's on your ticket page if so). A refund covers the whole order β€” every ticket bought in that checkout β€” and can only be requested from the buyer's own ticket page. The card processing fee isn't returned by the card networks, so it's kept back from the refund β€” you see the exact amount before you confirm. If the DJ cancels the event outright, every paid ticket is refunded automatically, no request needed.

For DJs 🎧

SongBash is in beta β€” you're one of our first DJs. Tell us what feels rough.

What does it cost me?

SongBash costs nothing to sign up or use. We only earn when you do. On paid tickets, it's a 3% platform fee (capped at $2.00per ticket) plus Stripe's processing fee, so the guest pays exactly the ticket price and the fees come out of your side. Free tickets cost nothing. Your earnings from tickets and tips are shown separately on your dashboard.

Do I need Stripe set up to start?

No. Free tickets work right away. You only set up payouts β€” a quick, one-time Stripe setup (~5 minutes) β€” when you want to sell paid tickets.

How and when do I get paid?

Ticket sales go straight to your bank through Stripe, in the same payouts as tips. Payouts are automatic and daily; your first payout is held about 7–14 days (Stripe's standard new-account hold), then daily after that. Tap β€œView payouts” on your dashboard to see your balance, schedule, and history any time. Your bank details stay with Stripe β€” SongBash never sees or stores your bank account number.

Where do I see what I earned from tickets?

On your dashboard, the Earnings card shows tips and tickets as separate numbers for today, this week, this month, and all-time. In the Tickets tab, each paid event shows its own net and gross, and the event page shows each sale as gross, then the CC Stripe Fee, then the platform fee, then your net. The CC Stripe Fee is the actual amount Stripe charged on that payment (not an estimate), and a later fee change never alters past sales. Ticket earnings are counted on the day of sale, not the day of the event, and refunded tickets aren't counted. Payout dates are always in Stripe.
